After that, I kind of walked around by the Thames for a while, including Millennium Bridge, which is always cool.
After that, I went somewhere I missed the first time around: Abbey Road. Of course I wanted to see the crosswalk of Beatles cover art fame, but I was also hoping to get a look at the studio itself, which has seen a lot of cool artists in its days. (Did you know that when The Beatles were in the studio recording Sgt. Peppers, Pink Floyd was there recording Piper at the Gates of Dawn? Cool, no?) Sadly, only the former really happened. I did get some good crosswalk pictures, but without a group of people walking across, it doesn't really have the same effect:
The studios aren't open to the public, but the wall outside had a bunch of graffiti, especially Beatles lyrics, which was pretty neat.
After Abbey Road, I went to find a Hummingbird red velvet cupcake, one of my favorite foods from my first trip. I thought I'd remember how to get to Portobello Road, since I went there all the time, but apparently my memory isn't as good as I thought. I ended up wandering around Notting Hill for about an hour before I finally stumbled on the right road. Good news? I finally found the elusive travel bookshop from the movie Notting Hill!
After my cupcake (which I sadly did not get a picture of), I wandered over to some of my favorite places in London, like Trafalgar Square, Picadilly Circus, and the river area by Westminster (by the Houses of Parliament). It may sound boring, but it was really nice to just wander around the city, which remains my favorite place on the planet.
To finish off my awesome day, I went and saw Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty's Theatre. It was incredible, not that that is at all surprising.
So that's my first day and my first blog post! I'm a novice in the art of blogging, so if anyone has suggestions/comments/complaints/severe reprimands, let me know and I'll adjust accordingly and/or ignore you.

Dude you should move to London. So I can come visit you. It looks like a fun place (even after all my "dirty commie" jokes :D )
